Kathi Lipp has one of my favorite author blogs. Here's why I love it: She is consistent. She runs contests almost daily. She usually has a series that she is working through and it keeps me coming back. Her giveaways are not always her own books. You can tell she has fun with it. http://blog.kathilipp.com/

I've been pleased with the response to my own blog Wordplay: Helping Writers Become Authors. I feature tips and essays about the writing life in hopes of enlightening and encouraging other writers. Writing can be a lonely, frustrating road at times, and I share my own writing journey on my blog with the goal of helping other writers understand the ins and outs of the craft and the psychology behind the inspiration.

I follow a writer on Twitter and read her blog which is mostly about writing and publishing, but different to other blogs in that it's chatty, yet informative in an interesting way.

J.A. Konrath's blog - http://jakonrath.blogspot.com/ - has loads of info. Constantly keeping us informed of not only what he's up to, but the publishing industry at large. His recent experimentation with eBook sales was especially detailed.
